Jennings dance team visits Orlando

The Jennings High School Jazzer Danceteam traveled to Orlando during Christmas break to represent JHS and Louisiana in the Camping World bowl game. 

The team performed in the halftime show of the bowl game and the opening of the Christmas Universal parade.  They took class from American choreographer Bonnie Story, along with her two daughters Bayli and Kelli Baker who were dancers in all three High School Musical movies.  Bonnie Story is an American choreographer best known for her work in High School Musical, High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3.  Bonnie choreographed the halftime show for the bowl game also.     

Team Members who attended are:  Rainee Mouton, Kaylin Wirtz, MeKayla Jenkins,Taylor Hebert, Faith Gary, Taylor Monceaux, Alexis Corkin, Shaniya Cormier, Anna David, Keeley Rice, Madison Blanchard, Kyleigh Villanueva, Team Managers:  Karlee Dugas and Briannah Stansberry 

This team is directed by Laura David and Jovita Rice.

    Ville Platte Police have arrested a local man in connection with a Sunday shooting death in the city. Darius Armondo Arvie, 24, was booked with second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
