UPDATE: 4 p.m. Round Rock police say the two girls and their abductor who disappeared from Texas have been seen in Colorado.

Police Chief Allen Banks said in a press conference Wednesday afternoon Terry Allen Miles was captured on surveillance images at a business in Trinidad, Colorado, on Dec. 30.

Lulu Bandera-Margret and Lili Griffith were not captured in the images.

"Our biggest concern is we want to have those two girls home safely," Banks said.

Banks said authorities have been receiving "a number of tips in southern Colorado," including of sightings of the girls, through Wednesday.

Miles is a person of interest in the death of Tonya Bates, the girls' mother. Banks said police are investigating her death as a homicide.

Round Rock police say they have evidence Terry Allen Miles and the two girls he's accused of abducting are no longer in Texas.

Police spokesperson Nicholas Olivier said the Amber Alert for sisters Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Margret, 7, and Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith, 14, has been canceled within Texas.

"We have evidence they may be elsewhere," Olivier said. Police will hold a press conference on the new information at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Miles, 44, is a person of interest in the suspicious death of Tonya Bates, the girls' mother. Police found Bates dead inside her home on Dec. 31. Miles and Bates were roommates, police have said.

Police initially said Miles may have been headed to Louisiana, where he's held an address during the last several years and where he's also logged numerous arrests, charges and convictions.

Miles is also currently in violation of his probation conditions with the Louisiana Department of Corrections on convictions of domestic abuse battery and illegal possession of stolen things.

Spokesperson Ken Pastorick said Miles is required to obtain a travel permit before leaving the state. His probation is set through April 30, 2020.

Bandera-Margret is a white female who stands about 4-feet 5-inches tall and weighs about 75 pounds with very curly brown hair. Griffith stands about 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds with dirt blonde hair, braces and a stud in her right nostril.

Miles is a white male who stands about 6-feet 2-inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds, wears glasses and may have a beard. He may be driving a gray 2017 Hyundai Accent with Texas license plate number JGH9845. The vehicle has a hatchback with a white sticker on the upper right hand corner of the rear window.

If located, police say do not approach the vehicle or the man but to contact 911 immediately.
