Brockport Police officers in New York were after a different sort of suspect wanted for breaking into a home: a squirrel.

After being called to a residence on December 29, 2017, for a call of a squirrel breaking into a home, officers were treated to a not so warm welcome by the feisty rodent.

Body cam video shows officers entering the residence and shortly after entering the kitchen, being attacked by the little rascal. The police make a quick retreat after the surprise but eventually come back to capture the squirrel.

The little squirrel bandit was reportedly eating cookies in the kitchen when the family noticed him and called the police. The uninvited guest was set free shortly after capture.
