The Iberia Parish Animal Shelter is asking for the public's help in adopting and fostering cats and dogs living in their shelter as the cold weather continues to create obstacles for staff.

IPAC officials say that the main building of the shelter is without water due to the freezing weather making cleaning and providing water to animals extremely difficult. The shelter also states that heaters are not sufficient enough to keep the animals warm.

Because of these issues, officials are asking that the public consider adopting or fostering these animals.

Photos of dogs and cats available at the shelter can be found on the IPAC Facebook page. All animals can be found at www.petango.com/ipac
