Youngsville gets new Mardi Gras parade route

YOUNGSVILLE, La. -

Mayor Ken Ritter announced today the City of Youngsville is issuing permits for floats and participants in their annual Mardi Gras parade.

The Fat Tuesday parade will roll on Feb. 10 at 11 a.m.   

Parade participants must pre-register and provide a photo ID, along with proof of insurance at Youngsville City Hall, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Save time by pre-registering online at Youngsville.us.

Mayor Ritter is pleased to announce that the American Cancer Society Acadiana Chapter will lead the 2018 parade to increase awareness of cancer research and to honor those affected by cancer.  

The parade will take on a new route this year, starting at the Youngsville Sports Complex on Savoy Road and ending at the Sports Complex. Information on the new route is available on the city's Facebook page.

Ritter said, "The City of Youngsville is proud to continue offering this family-friendly parade for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you on February 10, 2018."
