St. Martin Parish Waterworks District 4 issues boil advisory

ST. MARY PARISH, La. -

St. Martin Parish Waterworks District 4 has issued a boil advisory after a break in the main water line on Catahoula Park Road.

The advisory is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.

Those affected should disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, using it for food preparation and rinsing food.

Boil the water for one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. 

St. Martin Parish Waterworks District 4 will rescind the boil advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals - Office of Public Health that the water is deemed safe
