Freeze shelters open tonight

The Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness and Housing has posted a list of freeze shelters open tonight.

They include: 
- St. Joseph Shelter for Men in Lafayette
- Outreach Center in Lafayette (Women and Women with kids)- arrive by 7 p.m.
- New Life Center in Opelousas (Women and Women with kids)
- The Refinery in Opelousas (Men) - arrive by midnight

There will be an overflow freeze shelter Sunday through Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church (1130 Johnston St in Lafayette) for men and women between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. Please do not arrive before 9:30 p.m.

None of these shelters will require sobriety or ID.

If anyone is in need of shelter, please encourage them to go to one of these locations.
