Ville Platte Police continue search for missing man

The Ville Platte Police Department is continuing to ask for help in locating a missing man last seen December 22, 2017.

Chief Neal Lartigue says that officers received information about a missing man, identified as 56-year-old Amos Jones. Family members say he was last seen at his residence in the 100 block of Demourelle Street around 1:00 p.m on December 22, 2017.

Jones is said to suffer from dementia and has trouble walking on his own.  

He was last seen wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans he is described as about 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. When we first reported his disappearance, family members said he may be in the Eunice area. 

Lartigue requests that if you have seen Mr. Jones or have information on his whereabouts, please contact the Ville Platte Police department at 363-1313.
