The Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program announces a series of outreach events across the state in early 2018 to assist homeowners affected by the 2016 floods.

To date, more than 46,000 homeowners have submitted the initial survey and more than 38,400 have qualified for the program based on survey responses. More than 30,000 homeowners have already been invited to formally complete an application, the next step in the assistance process. The Program anticipates inviting all qualified homeowners to apply before the end of the year.

Approximately half of the homeowners who have been invited to begin the formal application have submitted applications. This outreach event series has been scheduled in communities across Louisiana in order to offer additional opportunities for in-person assistance to homeowners currently working to complete their application. Flood-affected homeowners who have not yet done so can still complete the program survey online at restore.la.gov or by telephone from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday at (866) 735-2001. The survey is the first step to receiving help through the Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance program.

In addition to these outreach events, housing assistance centers in Lafayette, Hammond, Monroe and Baton Rouge are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Program representatives are available to help homeowners complete surveys and applications, connect with a case manager and provide an overview of options for repairs, reconstruction or reimbursement.
