EUNICE, La. -

A family in Eunice is without a home today after a fire destroyed their house yesterday morning.

Multiple fire agencies in Acadia and St. Landry parishes responded to the fire in the 5700 block of Eunice Iota Highway after receiving the call around 3:30 a.m.

Four people were home during the time of the fire, but they were able to exit the house safely, a family member says. The family's three dogs died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but fire investigators believe the fire started in the attic of the home.

The home is a total loss, and the family is in need of donations. If you like to make a monetary donation, click here

The family is also accepting clothing. You may drop off those donations to Laura and Allen Gonsuron at La Pay E Bas RV Park, located at 699 Arpent Drive, Eunice, 70535.
