UL Lafayette Football

On the 4th day before Christmas, Billy Napier gave to us, an assistant named Desormeaux.
Yes, that's right, the former Cajuns star will stay with the team. His position on Napier's coaching staff hasn't been ironed out, but Mike Desormeaux will return for his 3rd season at UL. He spent last season as a running backs coach. Desormeaux was a 3-time all conference quarterback during his days playing at UL.

State Champions - The Welsh Greyhounds

For the first time in school history, the Welsh football won a state championship. The team grabbed the win earlier this month at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome against St. Helena.

Upcoming Sports News and Events

This afternoon the Cajun Men's Basketball team will wrap up their non-conference slate at Clemson. That game begins at 3 pm today at Littlejohn Coliseum.
LSU Men's Basketball still has two non-conference games left.
The Tigers host North Florida tonight at 7:00 pm. That game will be on ESP3.
On Sunday, the New Orleans Saints will take on the Atlanta Falcons; the teams second matchup of the season. The winner will have the inside track on the NFC South.

It's sure to be a Christmas Eve Showdown! The game begins at noon on local FOX stations.
