Iberia Parish Deputies investigate shooting incident, two injured

Iberia Parish deputies say they responded to a shooting Thursday night. 

The shooting, officers say happened at around 7:00 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Lombard St. and S. Hopkins in New Iberia. Deputies say they found multiple rifle casings on Lombard Street but no victims. 

Later deputies were informed of two 40-year-old men who arrived at Iberia Medical Center with minor injuries related to that shooting. Officials say that neither victim gave any information that could identify the shooting. 

The case remains under investigation by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office.
