Rain returns Tuesday night

Posted: Updated:

A little sunshine on Tuesday afternoon may be just the thing to churn the atmosphere up a little bit and spark a round of late night showers and even a few thunderstorms.

There isn't the ingredients needed for severe weather so any thunderstorms will remain your garden variety storms and shouldn't cause many problems other then a wet commute.

Once the showers start to clear we may end up with a little sunshine on Wednesday afternoon which may last all the way through Thursday afternoon, with a round of Thursday morning fog.

Afternoon showers will return to wrap up the work week and will last through the weekend with the next front still expected to push through the area on Christmas Eve.

This front has stayed consistent for the last several days and looks like some cold weather will be moving in for the big holiday and will stick around for the first half of next week.
