Kaplan business feeding community, hosting donation drive

A business is offering a free meal to the Kaplan community and also hosting a food and toy drive.

The lunch will be held December 23 from noon until 2 pm at Simple Eats Café, 616 W. 1st Street (Veteran's Memorial Drive) in Kaplan. The luncheon is free and open to the public (dine-in or delivery).

In addition to the lunch, the cafe is hosting a drive for food, coats, socks and toys for needy families. Those items are being collected until December 24.

Drop off Schedule:

Monday 5 am to 2 pm
Tuesday  5 am to 2 pm
Wednesday  5 am to 2 pm, reopen 5 pm to 10 pm
Thursday 5 am to 2 pm, reopen 5 pm to 2 am
Friday 5 am to 2 pm, reopen 5 pm to 3 am
Saturday 5 am to 2 pm, reopen 5 pm to 3 am
Sunday 5 am to 2 pm

On Dec 24, the items will be delivered to needy families.
