Gloomy weather sticks around

Posted: Updated:

It wasn't the most pleasant weather to start the week, and while it may not be as misty Tuesday doesn't appear to have much more (if any sunshine) with clouds locked in for another day.

Fog will develop late Monday night and early Tuesday morning which could cause some visibility problems on the roadways, remember the best course of action is to just take it a little slow.

The moisture and clouds will keep temperatures very mild with lows likely staying in the 60s and not changing much from the temperatures we've had during the day.

This misty, foggy scenario will continue into Tuesday morning before giving way to another round of cloudy skies with the occasional scattered shower thrown in the mix.

A marginal severe threat will exist to our west and north, but this shouldn't impact Acadiana residents unless you may be traveling up to Shreveport or out to Houston.

Rain will pick back up again Wednesday through the day before a quick shot of drying air Thursday before a mess moves in just in time for everyone hitting the road for the holidays.

Stay tuned to KATC through the week for all your holiday forecast details.
