KATC Sports Reporter Seth Lewis gives our GMA Sports Recap for Monday, December 18, 2017.

The Saints

The New Orleans Saints hosted the woeful Jets on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but nothing would come easy in the Big Easy.

In the fourth quarter, it was only a four-point game, but Drew Brees manages to find Mike Thomas to give New Orleans some breathing room.

New York proved they weren't giving up that easy. In under two minutes, former Ragin Cajun Elijah McGuire grabs a two-yard touchdown pass. A failed conversion makes it a five-point game.

All the Saints needed was a first down to ice it, and Ingram decides to put the game on freeze. He has reservations for 6 from 50 yards out.

New Orleans wins 31-19. After the game, we caught up with former Cajun Elijah McGuire.

"You know I played here three times in college, but it was nothing like an NFL atmosphere. Maybe the first year that I played here, when we played Tulane, it was pretty loud, but being on an NFL sideline and actually hearing an NFL crowd it was crazy, man, it was nice it was a sight to see."

KATC's Andrew Clay and Mike Carter were in NOLA talking to McGuire and the Saints.

UL Lafayette Women's Basketball

UL Women's Basketball met with LSU for the first time since 2007 on Sunday, December 17. Early in the first quarter the game was tied until Simone Fields found Kimberly Burton for the lay up putting UL up by two.

One minute later and the game is tied again when LSU's Jaelyn Richard-Harris knocks down a triple giving the Lady Tigers a 3-point lead.

UL Lafayette would eventually fall to the Tigers, 60-45.
