Dreary, chilly, wet weekend

Posted: Updated:

It's not an overly pleasant day when it comes to the forecast this Friday with dreary, wintry weather on tap for the remainder of the day, and honestly the majority of the weekend.

A layer of clouds will sit on Acadiana through the weekend, with only light clearing expected Friday night (just enough to allow temperatures to fall down in the 30s overnight) before bouncing back on Saturday.

While it will constantly look like it's going to rain it'll only be light showers along the coast this Friday with less rain chances on Saturday before thunderstorms arrive to wrap up the weekend.

Temperatures will be chilly both Friday and Saturday with the highs not making it into the 60s and a cold wind blowing in from the north that won't help matters much.

While it will be warmer on Sunday this will come along with soaking showers and thunderstorms, while not likely there will be a chance for a few isolated cases of severe storms possible.

The front bringing us the rain is showing signs of stalling which will keep wet, grey weather lasting through the first half of next week.
