Crowley Police working shooting incident, victim sustains multiple gunshot wounds

Crowley Police say they are currently working a shooting incident in the city where a victim received multiple gunshot wounds. 

Police Chief Jimmy Broussard says the shooting happened on South Parkerson Avenue and Mills Street at the Gator Carwash at around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.  

The victim in the shooting sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. The victim was taken to Acadia General and then transported to a Lafayette hospital listed in critical condition. 

Broussard says that officers are looking for a suspect in the shooting. They are currently searching for eyewitnesses to the incident. The Chief says that they believe the shooting is drug-related 

The shooting remains under investigation. More information will be provided as soon as it comes into us.
