Funeral held for Korean War POW

A  Korean War POW was finally laid to rest in his hometown in Acadia Parish. 

Sergeant Kermit J. Lejeune died in 1951 and was buried in Hawaii before his remains were sent back to his hometown in Richard.

Servicemen from Acadiana say it's an honor to be a part of his service.   

"I can speak on behalf of the whole team though because we do have 10 guys that are out here, 10 soldiers," Stf. Sgt. Blake Flood, Honors Detail. "It's a great honor to be a part of this, to be able to come and support this family and support bringing this service member back home to where he is originally from. It's a great honor."
