Prayer vigil held for Rayne stabbing victim

A candlelight vigil was held Thursday night for the man killed last week in Rayne.

Blake Boudreaux, 22, of Rayne, was found with multiple stab wounds December 5, 2017, on the corner of Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive in Rayne, according to police. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The was held Thursday, December 14, starting at 5:30 pm, in the parking lot of the old Gas Plus located at the corner Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive in Rayne.

Candles were provided for all those who attended.

The alleged suspect in the stabbing, Tyler Trevaghn Francis, 18, was booked on a charge of second-degree murder in the stabbing.
