Victoria Secret employees maced and stunned in Mandeville armed robbery, 5 wanted

Posted: Updated:

The Mandeville Police Department says three employees at a Victoria Secret were maced and shocked with a stun gun during an armed robbery Tuesday.

Police say the incident occurred at the Victoria Secret in the Premier Shopping Center where five people made off with around 1,500 dollars worth of merchandise.

Officers report that five women entered the store and began shopping. Upon exiting the store, two of the suspects, allegedly armed with mace and a stun gun, attacked three employees.

According to police, one of the suspects sprayed two of the employees with mace, while a third employee was shocked with a stun gun. The suspects were seen leaving the area in a silver Honda Sedan with a temporary license plate with unknown numbers attached.

The suspects were described by Mandeville Police as African American females; three were light skinned and two were dark-skinned, and all were between 5'5" and 5'10" in height. They are all believed to be in their 20s. One of the subjects had red hair, another had a ponytail, a third one had a thick braid, and the shortest suspect had a blue baseball cap.

"This is much more than a felony shoplifting. We are treating this as an armed robbery which carries a much stiffer penalty. Our detectives are actively working this case and we are asking anyone with information to call the Mandeville Police Department at (985) 626-9711."
