The Ragin Cajuns

UL Basketball extended their win streak to five last night with a win over Louisiana Tech on the road.

Jakeenan Gant did it all in this one.

Gant scored a game-high 22 points in UL's 75-70 win.

The Cajuns host UNO Saturday at the Cajundome.

The LSU Tigers

Coach Ed Orgeron says Arden Key is questionable for the Tigers bowl game against Notre Dame. Orgeron spoke for the first time since the season ended yesterday.

Some of the talk surrounded the Citrus Bowl, but Coach "O" also fielded questions about recruiting.

Local Sports

Longtime Breaux Bridge head coach Mike Mowad is coaching Lafayette in the I10 Bowl Saturday. Mowad won 200 games in 26 seasons with the Tigers. The I10 Bowl is Saturday at Sulphur High School at 2:00 p.m.

State champion quarterback Diallo Landry was a ball boy for Mowad as a kid. He talks about what he learned from the legendary coach.

Today's Sports Highlights

The UL Women's Basketball is on the road at Southeastern this evening. This will be the 45th meeting between the two teams. That game begins at 7 pm. Read more here
The LSU Men's basketball team will host Houston Cougars. Houston is 8-and-1 heading into that game which starts tonight at 8 pm.
Tonight in the NBA,  it's the Milwaukee Bucks and the New Orleans Pelicans playing in New Orleans. That game begins at 7 pm.
