Clouds slowly increase before wet weekend

Posted: Updated:

A cold Wednesday morning across Acadiana will give way to a cool afternoon with clouds starting to arrive out ahead of our next round of active weather which is expected this weekend.

Wednesday will be a quiet day with highs that crawl into the low 60s which means it'll still be fairly cool outside, and a layer of high clouds moving in after lunch and through the evening.

Sunshine may stay out a little longer north of the interstate but even north Acadiana will have cloudier conditions to wrap up the work week and start the weekend.

Temperatures will be warmer on Thursday before a sharp cool down at the end of the week when highs will barely make it to the mid 50s on Friday afternoon with overcast skies.

The weekend forecast is coming in with quite a bit of confidence as it looks like light showers will get going on Saturday evening and continue through into overnight hours and through the day Sunday.
