Body of woman found in St. Landry Lake identified

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says the woman found in a St. Landry Lake has been identified. 

The woman has been identified as 21-year-old Lia Ali Kazan of Shreveport.

The Alexandria Police Department today confirmed that Kazan was kidnapped from an Alexandria motel this past weekend. They said she was kidnapped from the parking lot by a white male in her own car. Her body was found Monday morning in Lake Dubuisson in St. Landry Parish.

Another body, that of a man was found in what police say is Kazan's vehicle. The man was white, Alexandria Police say. 

The man found in the Lake along with Kazan has not been identified following notification of his kin.  More on the investigation here
