Vigil to be held Thursday night for Rayne stabbing victim

RAYNE, La. -

There will be a candlelight vigil for a man killed last week in Rayne.

Blake Boudreaux, 22, of Rayne, was found with multiple stab wounds December 5, 2017, on the corner of Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive in Rayne, according to police. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The vigil will be held Thursday, December 14, at 5:30 pm, in the parking lot of the old Gas Plus located at the corner Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive in Rayne.

Candles will be provided, according to Councilwoman Curtrese L. Minix.

The alleged suspect in the stabbing, Tyler Trevaghn Francis, 18, was booked on a charge of second-degree murder in the stabbing.
