Breezy and Cooler

Posted: Updated:

A cold front will swing through the area early this morning bringing breezy and cooler conditions for your Tuesday. You won't notice much from this front, as it will generally arrive cloud and rain free, but you'll notice temperatures only reaching the upper 50s to near 60 this afternoon, rather than pushing 70 like Monday. High pressure will rebuild keeping our skies sunny through Wednesday and perhaps the early part of Thursday. Temperatures will remain at or below normal for the next couple of days. Overnight skies will remain clear with lows in the mid 30s over most of Acadiana, with upper 20s over central Louisiana. Frost will be possible, so cover tender plants or bring them in.? Wednesday should remain sunny with highs in the upper 50s.

As the ridge of high pressure pushes eastward, we'll start to see the return flow off of the Gulf of Mexico setting up toward the end of the week. This will bring a bit more cloud cover. Temperatures with the lack of sunshine toward the end of the week will remain below normal during the day. Expect highs to reach the upper 50s to low 60s through Friday with only the slightest chance for rain. Night time temperatures won't be too cold because of the cloud cover.

Toward the weekend, we'll expect some clouds, and eventually a chance for rain by Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will be warming into the 70s early next week.
