VIDEO: Acadiana teams reign supreme at New Orleans' Superdome

NEW ORLEANS, La. -

In case you can't get enough, KATC has behind-the-scenes footage of the championship games at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Welsh defeated St. Helena, 38-26, earning them the 2A state title, which is the first 2A championship in school history. 

Finishing the season 13-1, this is the first time the Greyhounds competed for a state title in 25 years. Greyhounds quarterback Zach Hayes was awarded 2A Most Outstanding Player.

The cheering Panthers fans must have had an effect as Catholic High of New Iberia defeated Crowley's Notre Dame Pios, 33-62, marking the first Panthers championship since 1962.

 Lafayette Christian took home the Division IV trophy, with a 10-0 victory over Ascension Catholic.
