For the second time this season, Notre Dame and Catholic High of New Iberia faced off, this time it was for all the marbles.
Back in September, the Pios beat Catholic 37-0. But tonight was a turn of fortunes for both teams. Thanks in large part to a potent defense and running attack, Catholic New Iberia overcame its early season struggles against the Notre Dame to win its first state title since 1962.
