Iberia Parish Crime Stoppers : December 7, 2017

Posted: Updated:

Iberia Crime Stoppers is talking about safety when selling on popular apps and websites.

These past several weeks, many people have become victim to robberies when meeting up with someone to buy items that they have listed for sale. Some of these apps include OfferUp, LetGo and Craigslist.

There are many safe places that you can go to when selling your items. The Sheriff's Office and Fire Departments throughout the Parish are the safest places to make transactions. Public parks, residences, and roads are not safe areas to make transactions.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office stresses that having safety as the number one topic in the back of your mind when selling to people you have never met.
