Pearl Harbor veterans honored in Acadiana

Posted: Updated:

Today marks 76 years since the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Petroleum Club marked the day with a luncheon to honor Acadiana veterans who were at Pearl Harbor that day.

The luncheon was started by Bob Lowe, a Pearl Harbor survivor who died in 2015.
The club's staff and other veterans are keeping that tradition alive by paying tribute to those who served on that fateful day.

"This event is very special and it's the kind of event that you want to participate in whenever possible because it's one of the very few programs to honor veterans that we have in Lafayette," Rodney Hamilton, Purple Heart Recipient.
