Police: 3 teens arrested for shooting at 8 juveniles leaving house party

Three teens were arrested on Tuesday for a Saturday night shooting in Lake Charles. 

Investigators with the Lake Charles Police Department's Juvenile Division arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on charges of aggravated second-degree battery, aggravated assault, aggravated criminal damage to property and possession of stolen guns, according to Deputy Chief Mark Kraus, spokesman for the department.

Two other teens,14 and 15, were also arrested on charges of accessory after the fact, stated the spokesman. 

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Rose Street Saturday in reference to a shooting. Investigators say while leaving a house party on Rose Street, eight juveniles were in a vehicle. The 15-year-old suspect fired at least eight shots towards the departing vehicle, according to the Deputy Chief. Officers say one juvenile in the vehicle was struck by a bullet. Officers At least one of the bullets also traveled into a residence in the 2200 block of Rose Street occupied by two adults and three children, added Kraus.

The three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
