Victim in fatal Rayne stabbing identified, suspect surrendered

RAYNE, La. -

Detectives with the Rayne Police department have confirmed the identity of the victim of a fatal stabbing in Rayne. 

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Blake Boudreaux. Police say that Boudreaux was found with multiple stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police say the stabbing occurred on Tuesday night, December 5 on the corner of Mervine Kahn Avenue and American Legion Drive in Rayne. The alleged suspect in the stabbing, Tyler Trevaghn Francis, 18, surrendered to the Rayne Police Department. He was booked on a charge of second-degree murder in the stabbing.
