Jeff Davis deputies say a Lake Charles man was arrested, accused of threatening three people with a Machete.

Deputies say the incident happened on Freeland Road near Welsh in Jeff Davis Parish. On Saturday, December 02, 2017, at around 5:19 p.m. Deputies responded to a call of a disturbance at a residence. A complaint filed stated that 42-year-old Christopher Davis had threatened three people with a machete. An investigation revealed that Davis was visiting the residence and allegedly began arguing with his girlfriend. Deputies say Davis' step-father was attempting to remove the girlfriend from the home when Davis threatened him, Davis' mother and the complainant while allegedly armed with a machete.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Officials say that Davis while being transported to Jeff Davis Parish Jail, made threatening statements to a deputy. Marijuana was also believed to have been found on Davis' clothing.

Christopher Davis was booked into jail on the charges of Domestic abuse aggravated assault ( 2 counts), Aggravated assault, Public intimidation (3 counts), Possession of CDS Schedule I.  No bond has been set as of this time.
