Judge dismisses lawsuits against Welsh alderman

Thirty-first Judicial District Judge Steve Gunnell has dismissed with prejudice four defamation suits against Welsh alderman Colby Perry, the Jennings News reports. 

Lake Charles attorney Ron Richard, who represented plaintiffs Nancy Cormier, William Johnson, Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet and Welsh Mayor Carolyn Louviere, said that he and his clients respectfully disagree with the judge's decision and are considering appellate action.
