Hudspeth sends thanks to 'Cajun Nation' after termination as head coach

Former Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth issued a statement today on his twitter account thanking fans and supporters of the Cajuns for allowing him to "lead your football program for the past seven years!"

Hudspeth was terminated from his position as head coach of the Ragin' Cajuns football team on Sunday a day after the Cajuns lost their last game of the season to Appalachian State with a score of 63-14. This season was the third straight losing season for the Cajuns. 

Hudspeth's overall record as head coach was 51-38, but with sanctions from the NCAA that record ended at 29-38.

Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard says that coach Michael Desormeaux will serve as acting director of the Cajuns while the athletics team searches for a new head coach.
