Today's COOL SCHOOL is Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy! The eighth graders at LRCA are playing a very special role in this year's LRCA Buddy Program. The students are paired with a kindergarten student. They work together on special projects and activities. The eighth graders serve as role models in school to teach their buddy about being respectful, responsible, and successful in school. It is wonderful to see a middle school student helping a kindergartner especially when they are leading by example. Having a Buddy can actually reinforce the good habits in both kindergartners and eighth graders that are being taught at home and in the classroom!
If you have a COOL SCHOOL let us know. Send Dave Baker an email to weather@katctv.com. Put COOL SCHOOLS in the subject line. Include a picture and a short story about why your school is COOL! We do COOL SCHOOLS every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!
***PLEASE NOTE***
The COOL SCHOOLS segment is already booked through Christmas. Please try to avoid time sensitive events, especially holiday programs or ceremonies. Submissions may not run until early next year, well after the holidays are over. Thanks!
