Federal officials confirmed today that the body found in Jeff Davis Parish in October is that of a Houston postal worker.

Gayla Roy disappeared in September. Her co-worker and the father of her children, Don Gaines, 30, was indicted earlier this month in Houston on a charge of kidnapping. He's accused of strangling her, then shooting her and dumping her body in the woods.

When he was indicted, we tried to confirm that it was Roy's body that was found in the woods near Welsh. It wasn't until today that were able to get that confirmation.
