Posted: Updated:

With December around the corner, it will soon be what most people call the most wonderful time of the year.

Acadian Village, opens to the public on Friday, and it is already starting to look a lot like Christmas.

Glenn Weber, Executive Director of LARC, a non-profit that helps serve people who have developmental disabilities, looks forward to the event every year.

"It enables us, I think more than anything, to bring some quality of life and some growth to the people we serve," Weber said.

"It was a move that was a good move way back when in the early 90's, but nobody dreamed that the little seed we planted would become Cinderella.and a pretty good revenue producer for LARC," Weber said.

There is something or everyone in the family to enjoy, from rides to food and lights.

Hundreds of people give of themselves every year to make sure Acadian Village is a success, and the LARC team looks forward to giving back.

"This is an opportunity for LARC to give back to the community, I come here every night and see the kids and people of all ages look at the lights, so its added to the quality of the community of life," Weber said.
