Gov. Office to present summits on human trafficking

Gov. John Bel Edwards and the Governor's Office on Human Trafficking Prevention Commission announced today that they will hold a series of regional summits on human trafficking. Information presented at the summits will cover existing services, protocols, and community response to human trafficking where the summits are being held.

The summits, according to the press release, will be held in collaboration with the Department of Children and Family Services, Louisiana Alliance of Children's Advocacy Centers, Louisiana State Police, and HP Serve. 

The first summit will be held in Baton Rouge today, November 28. Eight other summits will be held throughout the State. One is scheduled for Lafayette on January 16.

Dec. 14, 2017--- Monroe
Jan. 16, 2018--- Lafayette
Jan. 18, 2018--- Lake Charles

Feb. 22, 2018--- Covington
March 8, 2018--- New Orleans
