Louisiana State Police have released the following information regarding the investigation:

State Police say that at about 1:30 am troopers were alerted to a single vehicle fatality on the US 90 Frontage Rd near LA 3211 in Franklin. The crash, troopers say, took the life of 87-year old Marian Tabb of Centerville.

A preliminary investigation revealed Tabb was traveling east on US 90 Frontage Rd in a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero. For reasons still under investigation, troopers say Tabb drover her vehicle through a wooden barricade where it entered a deep canal. Troopers say Tabb was unable to exit her vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

Tabb was pronounced deceased by the St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office. The crash was discovered at 10 pm Sunday night.

Troopers say impairment is not expected to be a factor in the crash, Tabb was restrained properly.

The family of the missing Centerville woman says that 87-year-old Marian Tabb has been found deceased.

Marian's daughter-in-law Juanita Tabb confirmed in a Facebook post this morning, November 27, that Marian was found last night. Juanita Tabb confirmed with KATC that Tabb's car was found submerged in water last night and that divers were on scene to search the car.

Tabb's family said she was last known to be headed to church around 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning in Centerville, LA. They believe she never made it there.
