One arrested, another sought in heroin bust

An investigation by the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit has led to the arrest of one person, but deputies are still seeking another. 

“Yesterday afternoon deputies served a search warrant in the 200 block of Hanks Street in Morse. The search warrant was obtained as part of an investigation. During the search, deputies recovered Heroin, Crystal Meth (Methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia and currency,” said Sheriff KP Gibson.

“We are starting to see a drastic increase in Crystal Meth in our area as well as increasing amounts of Heroin," the sheriff said.

Arrested was April Oschmann, 32 of Morse. She was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail with possession with intent to distribute heroin and cyrstal meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $30,000.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ashley Green, described as a white male, 42 years of age. Green is wanted for the same charges that Oschmann was booked with.
