Evangeline Parish Sheriff Eddie Soileau says his deputies are looking for a Ville Platte man wanted on an armed robbery warrant.

The warrant for Kendell Pete, 18, arises from an incident that happened November 9 on Seventh Street. A man wearing a bandana over his face robbed a woman of her purse at gunpoint, then ran away. He got into a car driven by Charles Hebert, who drove a short distance and then let the man out.

Pete is accused of being the man in the bandana.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the Public in locating Pete, the sheriff said.

Pete is known to frequent the area of the Eastside Subdivision and occasionally be at the residence of 2481 2nd Street in the Eastside Subdivision.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division by phone at 337-363-2161. All callers with information will remain anonymous. Pete is considered to be Armed and Dangerous, the sheriff said.
