Evangeline Parish Sheriff's deputies are searching for a Ville Platte man in connection with an armed robbery that happened last week, KVPI reports.

Deputies say a man wearing a bandana over his face robbed a woman at gunpoint in the Eastside Subdivision on Thursday of last week. He took the lady's purse and fled on foot. At one point, he got into a car with another man and rode for a while, then got out of that car and ran again, deputies tell KVPI.
