Man arrested in Lake Charles shooting

Lake Charles Police have arrested a man in connection with the November 9 shooting on Arkansas Street. 

J'Vaughn Guillory, 19, was booked with eight counts of aggravated assault in connection with the incident. He has been booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center, and his bond is set at $200,000.

A juvenile also has been arrested in connection with the incident, police said. 

Guillory is accused in connection with the November 9 shooting in the 1600 block of Arkansas Street. It was about 3:30 p.m. and eight people, including a three-year-old, were in front of a home, police say. A Lincoln Navigator passed by and stopped at a nearby intersection, then two men got out of the vehicle and started shooting toward the residence, where the people were standing, police said.
