Firefighter's home destroyed in fire, donations being accepted

Donations are being accepted for a firefighter and his family who lost everything in a Tuesday fire. 

Firefighters with the Mire Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched around noon to Faith Lane, Church Point. 

The home is a total loss, according to a spokeswoman for the fire department. No one was harmed in the fire and the cause is under investigation. 

Donations are being accepted at the Mire Volunteer Fire Department #2, 6071 Grand Prairie Hwy., Rayne, Tuesday, Nov. 14, and Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 5 pm to 7 pm. 

The Branch Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the fire.

Clothes sizes:

Mens - XL shirt, 34 pants, 10 shoe
Women's - 2X shirt, 16-18 pants, 7.5-8 shoe
Children - 2T clothes (boy) 
Children - any infant clothes from 0-3 months to 12 months (boy). The baby is due Monday. 
Also, the children were in size 1 newborn diapers and size 5 diapers
