Passport Fair set for Nov. 18 in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. -

The Lafayette Main Post Office will host a passport fair to help residents get their passport.

The event will be Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017,  from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the main post office on Moss Street. 

To apply for a passport, you need a certified copy of your birth certificate, a valid photo ID (like a driver's license) and a passport photo, sized two inches by two inches.

You can get more information by visiting www.travel.state.gov. 

You can get your photo at the fair. Passport fees are $110 for people aged 16 years or older and $80 for people aged 16 years or younger. For people younger than 16 years, both parents must be present, have a valid ID. 

The fee must be paid by check or money order made payable to the Department of State.  

Execution fees are $25 and must be paid by check or money order made payable to the U.S. Postal Service. 

If you want a photo, that costs $15, also by check or money order made payable to the U.S. Postal Service.
