UPDATE: Rayne Police say they have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting on Interstate 10.

A suspect, identified by Rayne Police today as Alvin Monroe, was detained on Saturday after the shooting but has since been released, a spokesman said. Moore was not arrested or booked with anything. The investigation is continuing, he said.

Rayne Police have released the name of the suspect in Saturday's shooting on Interstate 10 - but they won't say if he has been booked or with what.

Alvin Monroe Jr., 41, of Crowley, has been identified as the suspect. However, Rayne Police would not say if he has been booked with any charges, even though he has been held since Saturday. He has not been booked into the Acadia Parish Prison, records show. Booking records are public record under Louisiana law.

Monroe is accused of being the person who shot two men multiple times while driving westbound on the Interstate, police said. Their family members told us they are in stable condition. They drove themselves to the Rayne Police Department for help. They told police that it was Monroe who shot them, Rayne Police records show.

Monroe was "detained" by police at a family member's home in Rayne, the record states. Detectives have video evidence related to the incident and prior incidents among the men.

Police say the shooting was related to a feud between one of the victims and his ex-wife's boyfriend.
