Posted: Updated:

The third suspect wanted in connection with a rash of vehicle burglaries in Lafayette Parish was arrested in Vermilion Parish, according to Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office (LPSO) Facebook page.

LPSO detectives have taken Ronail Broussard, 17, into custody and have transported him to the Lafayette Parish Jail.

Broussard and two juveniles are accused of seven counts of simple burglary and three counts of attempted simple burglary. In addition to the other charges, Broussard will also face 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Sheriff Mark Garber said, "I am very proud of the work done by my detectives to quickly identify and apprehend the suspects in this case. We are also grateful for the assistance we received from other agencies. Most vehicle burglaries can be avoided by making sure you lock your car doors."

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office deploys "If you love it, lock it" signs throughout the parish as a reminder to residents to lock their vehicle doors.
