Beautiful weekend taking shape

Posted: Updated:

The weekend is almost upon us and the forecast over the next several days looks spectacular and even seasonally appropriate, which in south Louisiana isn't always the case.

A chilly start to the day on Friday will eventually end with temperatures right around 70 degrees in the afternoon, but a fresh breeze from the north may make the feel like temperature a little cooler.

High pressure will lead to a crystal clear day with blue skies across the region and an overabundance of sunshine which will last through the majority of the weekend.

Sunday will be a shade warmer with highs back in the mid 70s and a little more moisture in the atmosphere will bring in a scattering of clouds and the outside chance of an isolated shower.

This is more or less what the forecast through the work week will be, warm in the afternoon and cool at night.
