Annual Thanksgiving food drive highlights the late Fats Domino

Posted: Updated:
LAFAYETTE, La. -

Music lovers paid tribute to the late Fats Domino tonight with a second line through downtown Lafayette.

The second line also helped kick off this year's Thanksgiving Zydeco Food Drive, which took place tonight at the Delta Grand 2.

"We want to just make sure we honor Fats Domino because he was one of the true original American music people. He brought American music where it is today, and it all came out of Louisiana," said Donald Wilson, Founder of the Thanksgiving Zydeco Food Drive.
